Rio Dulce, Izabal Guatemala is a Natural Paradise

During Holy Week vacationers can visit Rio Dulce, in the town of Livingston Izabal, and appreciate all kinds of birds, the freshness of the breeze, taking photographs of the variety of landscapes, the sun falls and travel by boat.

From the bridge can be seen in the north-Cerro San Gil, modern buildings and the clear waters where sailing canoes, boats, luxury yachts and jet skis.

It is possible to see, in the south – the Sierra Santa Cruz, San Felipe Castle and Lake Izabal. You can also photograph the sunset.

Jorge Catalan, the association of local boaters, explained: “During the tour, which lasts about four hours, you can see over 60 species of resident and migratory birds which can be seen near the boat.

During the tour we visited the Castillo de San Felipe, mouth of Lake Izabal, La Isla de los Pajaros, the Rio Dulce Bridge, trails and aquatic gardens, hot springs spa, the canyon of the river, the cow’s Cave details.

Porfirio Reyes, another boatman, he mentioned that on the bank of the effluent are pelicans, seagulls, turtles, iguanas, chickens of the mountain, dark and white herons, kingfishers, and others.
