Tikal Archaeological Park
When I arrived in Petén, I went directly to Tikal. The road is also in excellent condition, however lines can cause one to lose the notion of speed, and there are some burial mounds that are not visible and make the car jump “a little bit…”
However, once at the entrance of the Park must present the corresponding identification as being local, as Guatemalans paid a fee more affordable than foreigners. Got me my ticket and I proceeded to handle by the road that leads directly to the Park.
Recommend run slowly because as it is a natural area, there are wild animals and wild (jaguar) that traverse the area. Out of curiosity, I obviously the recommendation and called me attention to come so fast (realized by ticket controls). And the truth are right, because in the year 2,003 a person struck a Jaguar in the Park. When I came out of the Park, I remembered the recommendation to drive slowly, but as it is difficult for me, I stopped and on the road between the trees. I got off the car to put my luggage in the trunk in order to take advantage of the time (i.e., take me and be able to handle my pace later) and I could see the sounds of wild and wild animals (Yes, rugidos) among the trees.
