Tourist Review of the Tikal Maya Guatemala City
This ancient Mayan City falls to its visitors, and even more in the dark of night.
Despite the early-exit from Flores is usually at 3 am, is magical and very good to start the trip to Tikal National Park in the dark, with only a flashlight to navigate through the jungle. We are in the territory of the animals and we do know with their constant noise. They even get to hear and see the light of day, howler monkeys.

A coati clueless, or both, walks near the trash and, for a moment, you get so much attention as the pyramids. Additionally, it is common to see turkeys flying outside tourists. Other inhabitants of Tikal are the pumas, jaguars and foxes, to name some, but are much more elusive to the photographic flashes.
Although it has been Tikal in photos or scenes from movies, George Lucas recorded this environment for the first film in the series The Wars, “never the visitor can get an idea of what to expect in a few minutes, when the sun begins timidly out. By then, most tourists are in the top of Temple IV, also known as two-headed serpent and the highest in Tikal-65 meters and almost the entire Mayan civilization, as it is only surpassed by the La Danta pyramid at El Mirador, which reaches 72 meters in height.
